Worthy Cause Blog: Wounded Veteran Gifted New House in Land O' Lakes
A deserving wounded veteran and his family have received a heartwarming gift – a brand-new home in Land O' Lakes, Florida.
The recipient of this gift is U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Anthony Corriveau, who has served his country for more than two decades. During his service, he sustained several injuries, including traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). These injuries made it difficult for him to adjust to civilian life after his military service ended.
Corriveau and his family were selected to receive the home through the nonprofit organization Building Homes for Heroes, which is dedicated to providing mortgage-free homes to veterans and their families.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is fully furnished and equipped with new appliances, making it move-in ready for the Corriveau family. The home is also equipped with smart technology, including security cameras, a smart thermostat, and a smart lock, providing extra safety and security for the family.
At the home's dedication ceremony, Corriveau expressed his gratitude for the generous gift, saying, "This is the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me and my family."
The gift of a new home is a significant step forward in helping Corriveau and his family move forward and build a new life. Building Homes for Heroes is committed to assisting veterans like Corriveau, who have sacrificed so much for their country, and giving them the support they need to succeed in their civilian lives.
