Honoring Our Heroes: National Police Week 2025

What Is National Police Week?
Established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, National Police Week was created to pay tribute to peace officers across the United States. It coincides with Peace Officers Memorial Day, observed each year on May 15, and has grown into a week-long national event attended by tens of thousands of officers, families, and supporters.
Why It Matters
Law enforcement professionals put themselves on the front lines every day to protect our families, uphold our laws, and maintain peace in our neighborhoods. During this week, we remember not just the fallen, but also those who continue to serve with integrity, courage, and dedication.
How You Can Show Support
-
Fly a blue ribbon or thin blue line flag outside your home or business
-
Say thank you to local officers in your community
-
Attend a vigil or memorial event hosted in your area
-
Donate to organizations that support fallen officers’ families
In a world that often feels uncertain, the work of law enforcement provides stability, safety, and peace of mind. As we observe National Police Week 2025, let’s remember the true meaning of service and sacrifice—and let’s make sure our officers know they’re not forgotten.
